About Lexi
Lexi Dever is a freelance artist, designer, and illustrator based out of Washington, DC. She is an alumna of Georgetown University and is currently the video editor for Studio Élan.
While at Georgetown, she provided design work for multiple student organizations and university offices (most notably the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship and the LGBTQ Resource Center). Lexi has also worked with other DC area organizations, such as Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the National New Play Network, and Fantom Comics, as well as groups beyond Washington, such as the Up North & Underground Film Festival and the New Ways Symposium. She has also done freelance work for online content creators and streamers such as Ophelia Midnight, GX Aura, and Liana Kangas.
Lexi is also the co-founder of Studio Nekomata, a design studio and apparel brand committed to creating original, anime-inspired artwork for and by queer women. Working with fellow artists Faerieko and Dakuma, Studio Nekomata has been present at events such as Flamecon 2019, Anime Expo 2022, Animazement 2023, OffKai Expo 2024, and the 2021, 2023, and 2024 editions of Otakon.
In her personal life, Lexi continually expands her comic and vinyl collections, cooks for a crowd, and watches far too much anime. She is unable to function for more than an hour without an internet connection and relies upon matcha to survive.
